A Tradition of Service
Giving back to the community is a family tradition. My own parents were very active in my hometown, with my dad serving as president of the library board and my mom devoting herself to voter education issues. My husband served for years on the local Boy Scout council and I myself led outreach for my New Lenox church for 10 years and served as Clerk for Frankfort Township. Even before I retired, I started in on my second career taking a larger role in the community. I served as Frankfort Township Collector, then Trustee and in 2009 I was elected Frankfort Township Clerk.  In 2012 I was elected to the Will County Board.  When our former State Rep announced her retirement, I decided I liked my experience as a county legislator enough to take on the challenge of the State Legislature.  Now that I have been your representative in Springfield for 4 years I’m still ready and willing to take on the power structure that has bankrupted our State.  My 30 years of experience as a lawyer and as a mom and volunteer made me strong enough to take on the biggest bullies in the General Assembly–Lou Lang, Mike Madigan and more.  In the past 4 years my reputation as a fierce advocate for our district  – New Lenox, Mokena, Frankfort, Homer Glen, Lockport, Orland Park and Tinley Park–has spread throughout the state.
