A Tradition of Service
Giving back to the community is a family tradition. My own parents were very active in my hometown, with my dad serving as president of the library board and my mom devoting herself to voter education issues. My husband served for years on the local Boy Scout council and I myself led outreach for my New Lenox church and served as Clerk for Frankfort Township. Read more about my background and experience

Even before I retired, I started in on my second career taking a larger role in the community. I served as Frankfort Township Collector, then Trustee and in 2009 I was elected Frankfort Township Clerk.  In 2012 I was elected to the Will County Board.  When our current State Rep announced her retirement, I decided i liked my experience as a county legislator enough to take on the challenge of the State Legislature.  I’m ready and eager to take on an elected position that lets me put my professional skills as a negotiator and problem solver, as well as my 30 years of experience as a mom and volunteer, to work for a wider population – New Lenox, Mokena, Frankfort, Homer Glen, Lockport, Orland Park and Tinley Park.
